    • Brilliant and brutal! This short story is written by a very special writer with the ability to transport the reader inside the lead character and I couldn't put it down.I just wish it was longer; the best story I have read for many years. Everyone should read this.Another review here for 3 stars! What? Did they read it? This is not average writing. My advice would be to change the title as the subheading makes it sound like a non-fiction text, rather than a story.Received as a Giveaway.

    • Interesting storywould love to hear the background of how Michael's life led him to prison in the first place. The book leaves the reader wondering so many different things - hope there's a sequel and/or prequel!

    • I won this book in a Giveaway. This short story makes us look at the life of an inmate in a different light. I enjoyed the way this was written. Hopefully the conclusion will open peoples' eyes to the reality of prison life.

    • This is a short story - would have liked to see collection of stories as author writes well. This one story, because of the topic, may turn readers off. A teenager is sent to prison for a crime and has to transform himself from what he was into a person that will survive prison. Writer does take you inside the main character. Story also reminds us prisons do not rehabilitate and maybe we need to rethink our prison system.

    • Brutal. Raw. Brilliant. Beautiful. The author did an outstanding job in introducing the reader (me) to a world I could never imagine in a million years. I was moved with compassion. Awesome job Mike!
