    • There are so many good things to say about this book that I’m unsure where to start! First of all, I have to say that I loved Lex’s character. She’s so spunky and isn’t afraid to speak her mind. I love the spontaneity of her random outbursts; they caused me to laugh quite a few times throughout this piece. Especially when her and her fraternal twin, Brie, first enter into the Underworld. Another thing I loved about this book were the descriptions. They were eloquently written in a way th [...]

    • This book is freaking amazing and worth more than 5 stars!Nicole writes in a way that sucks you in from the very first page and once I started, I couldn't put it down.Lex, along with her twin sister, Brie, is a Protector. She has to travel to other realms to guide many different mythical creatures. When the portals are compromised, they are summoned to the Academy for training. When they reach the Underworld to meet Hades, Lex meets Zagreus. Let me just say their meeting was not only hilarious, b [...]

    • Full disclosure, I did receive a free copy in exchange for an honest review. I went into it expecting another indie romp with perhaps some rough edges. Indie books, I have learned are a bit of a different category than those traditionally published and should be read as such. I often say that they are the "garage band" equivalent of the book world. This book is no different. While not unenjoyable, there is a lot to unpack with this one. The Good: The author does have a clear voice with her chara [...]

    • All I can say is WOW! I loved every moment of this book. Nicole Merchant did an amazing job describing every scene, creature, character you can imagine. Her writing is so detailed that you can picture yourself in the book. If you are into mythology, magic and love, this book is for you. In this amazing story you will meet Lex, Brie, and Zagreus who go on a journey in the Underworld trying to save realms from closing. In their journey they get to meet creatures of the Underworld which provides th [...]

    • I received a review copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. YA isn't my usual genre, but I enjoyed Hell Bound. Merchant clearly knows her mythology, and uses it to good effect. Lex and Brie are fairly normal teen girls dealing with supernatural abilities. The whole setup with the Protectors was also interestingly done. The only quibble I have with the story is that although they're unsure of themselves and just learning the full extent of their powers, they feel a bit too super-power [...]

    • I absolutely loved this book. Honestly I loved it so much and I didn't want it to end too soon so I set it down and read some of other books, but I couldn't ever stay away for too long. Nichole did an amazing job with this book and all the worlds she built within it. Lex is now my favorite character ever. I adore her attitude and take no s*** policy. Her inner banter and her outer banter are awesome. I enjoyed all the other characters that were thrown into the story too, but Lex has her own spec [...]

    • The beginning started off a bit odd for me; 2 teenager girls are being sent to Hell on a rescue mission? It came out of nowherebut the more you get into it, the more you love it. Fans of Mount Olympus and the Gods will enjoy this action packed adventure. The characters are written in a unique style but it did feel a bit wordy at times. Overall. 4 stars.

    • OMG, wow. This was one incredible book. I really enjoyed it. I will definitely be one clicking the rest of this authors work
